BOIL.
Do you have what it takes to become the next Crawfish King?

Teams of amateur boilers consist of 5 people boiling approximately 4-5 sacks of crawfish. Teams are provided a
10x10 cooking space location and crawfish to boil. The Entry fee of $1500 is due by March 1, 2025. Click here for a registration form for your team. Got more questions... see if this helps.
-
Team spots and space is limited. Each team has a 10x10 spot. Some sponsorship packages allow for more space.
-
We provide all crawfish and some vegetables, a table (8ft), 2 chairs, plywood for use under the burner, and food containers for serving to the public and for judging.
-
Teams provide a 10x10 tent, seasoning, ice chests, propane, extra table for prep, chairs, boiling equipment, and any other items needed. A wagon or flat dolly is recommended for easier load in/out.
-
Teams should have enough supplies for boiling up to 8-10 sacks.
-
We have water access to fill pots (crawfish are already washed by our crawfish vendor). We also have a water waste vendor onsite to handle gray water.
-
Teams load in before 11 am on event day, and tailgate and network until it’s time to compete. There is no access to electricity for teams, outside generators are NOT allowed.
-
All items must fit in the 10x10 area, team spots are determined in a lottery drawing that happens at the Team Safety Meeting.
-
Someone from the team or company must attend the Team Safety Meeting scheduled 1-2 weeks before the event.
-
At the Safety meetings, we’ll review all the Safety procedures, and emergency plans, schedule load-in times, conduct the team spot lottery, and review the rules to the competition.
-
Teams must be amateur teams (no professional boilers) and must boil under a company name.
-
Teams are 5-person boiling teams; teams receive their wristbands for the event at load-in. Any additional support/attendees will need to buy a ticket, and we do have a ticket bundle discount available for teams/sponsors.
-
Teams are welcome to hand out promotional items to the crowd excluding bags and trays.
-
Event attendees can vote for their favorite team, and a People's Choice award will be determined from these votes.
-
Judging happens in 2 rounds – first round at 3pm to determine the Top 10, then the final round and winner determined (but not announced) before gates open at 4pm.
-
Winners are announced from the Live After 5 stage around 6:30pm.
-
Gates open to the public at 4pm and we serve the public until 8pm or until crawfish runs out. We expect about 3,000 people to attend.
